The Society for Tinian Studies and the Municipality of Tinos organised, on 4–6 October 2019 at the Tinian Studies Foundation, a two-day conference on Traditional Wooden Shipbuilding, which has been inscribed in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Greece since 2013. The themes presented included Shipping and Shipbuilding through the centuries, Traditional Wooden Shipbuilding and the wooden vessels of the Aegean in the modern period, the present and future of Wooden Shipbuilding, and Ship Modelling.
