“Theotokos the Hope”: A Byzantine Music Concert by MusicAeterna Byzantina

The Byzantine choir MusicAeterna Byzantina, under the direction of Antonios Koutroupi, presented a unique concert at the Church of Panagia Faneromeni in Vouliagmeni.
By candlelight, the ensemble performed Byzantine hymns and works of the 20th century, with the special participation of the Lebanese vocalist Ribal Wehbe.

The choir was founded by Theodor Currentzis, and under his artistic direction it has performed in emblematic venues such as the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, and the Sainte-Chapelle.
The concert, titled “Theotokos the Hope,” took place on 26 January 2025, under the auspices of the Holy Metropolis of Glyfada, with free admission for the public.
