The building at the corner of Sina Street and 47 Akademias Street is one of the most characteristic examples of architectural eclecticism with Baroque influences. It was built in 1923 and belongs to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, housing part of the Law School. Following a major fire in December 2008, the building suffered extensive damage. The renovation works fully respected the morphology of the listed building, and upon their completion, one of Athens’ most emblematic buildings was brought back to life. Today, it houses the Law School’s administrative offices, staff offices, and teaching rooms.
