The exhibition formed part of the program “Santorini 1821–2021,” which included a series of events organized by the Thera Society of Sciences together with other cultural associations and institutions of Santorini.
Within the exhibition, visitors were introduced to life on the island before, during, and after the Greek War of Independence, while the role played by Thera in the national uprising was presented for the first time. Important aspects of the island’s cultural and maritime heritage were also highlighted.
