The institution of the Panionian Congresses was established in 1914 with the aim of researching and studying the life and culture of the Ionian Islands. This volume contains the proceedings of the 11th Congress, with the participation of university professors and distinguished researchers of Ionian life and culture, both Greek and international.
The papers cover all historical periods of the Islands and every aspect of their economic and social life. The volume was edited by Ilias Toumasatos and Giorgos Moschopoulos.
