The country’s first ecclesiastical radio station has been in operation since October 1988. The radio station of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus is broadcast across many regions of Greece, as well as in Europe and the Middle East, and, through its website peradio.com, reaches Greek diaspora communities worldwide. The inauguration of the station’s facilities was officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus in April 2017. This marked the fulfillment of a long-standing vision of the Metropolitan, made possible through the donation of the building by Eleni Dimopoulou. The building was renovated and fully equipped at the expense of the benefactors of the Metropolis, Athanasios and Marina Martinos. From its new state-of-the-art premises, featuring four studios and office spaces distinguished by their excellent functionality and aesthetics, Peiraiki Ekklisia broadcasts the message of the Gospel to every corner of the world.
