The Panhellenic Athletic Association for People with Physical Disabilities (PASKA), the first purely athletic club for persons with physical disabilities in Greece, was founded in 1987 and has since played a decisive role in the development of sports for persons with disabilities. In 1988, it took the lead in establishing the Panhellenic Championship for Persons with Disabilities, opening new paths for athlete participation and recognition.
Today, PASKA has more than 90 athletes in its competitive divisions, while also implementing grassroots sports programmes and specialised initiatives aimed at improving the physical condition and autonomy of persons with disabilities, strengthening their psychological independence and social inclusion.
In practical support of Paralympic sport, AIGEA AMKE proceeded with the donation of a racing wheelchair, replacing an older one and thereby facilitating the athletes’ participation in training and high-level competitions.
