“Orthodox Theology in the 21st Century: Challenges and Perspectives” – International Conference at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA)

The International Conference of the Faculty of Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (24–28 November 2024) examined the position and mission of the Orthodox Church and Theology within the new historical, geopolitical, and social conditions.
Approximately 140 speakers participated, including academics, ecclesiastical figures, and scholars from Greece and abroad.

In parallel, theological workshops, book and art exhibitions, as well as cultural events, were organized. The conference was held under the auspices of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece.
The opening was proclaimed by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and was also attended by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
