Within the framework of the program “Morea 21,” and alongside other initiatives marking the 200th anniversary of the Greek War of Independence, the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation created five multimedia Digital Exhibits in five emblematic cities of the 1821 Revolution: Areopoli, Pylos, Kalamata, Tripoli, and Nafplio.
Through these digital installations, important events of the struggle—depicted in historical paintings and engravings—were brought back to life using animation techniques and digital two- and three-dimensional visualization.
AIGEAS AMKE contributed to the creation of the Digital Exhibit in Pylos, which was presented in a specially designed hall in the House of the Olympian Kostis Tsiklitiras in Pylos. The exhibit focuses on the Battle of Navarino (20 October 1827), as depicted in the painting The Battle of Navarino by George Philip Reinagle (National Maritime Museum, Greenwich).
