An ambitious publishing project that condenses the history of modern Lavreotiki through the world of mining and metallurgy. The album by architect Kostas Manthos offers remarkable discoveries through its rich visual material: postcards, cartes postales, topographical and mining maps, engravings, photographs of company shares, and the covers of corporate brochures containing statutes and directors’ reports form the core of its iconographic content.
The volume also includes paintings by Georgios Iakovidis depicting portraits of company directors, a landscape of Lavrio by Nikolaos Lytras, and photographs by well-known photographers and studios (Romaidis Brothers, S. M. Vichos, the Kanta Sisters, A. Bylis, E. Kazanis, K. Dimitriou, among others).
