Construction of the church began in the 1990s on a plot of land along the Kareas ring road. Over the years, the works were significantly delayed due to lack of funding, and the donation of Athanasios and Marina Martinos for the completion of the church proved decisive.
The volume of the domed church rises prominently within the landscape. Its façades are articulated in a restrained manner, with the use of light-coloured plaster and simple decorative elements.
