One of H.L.O.A.’s most significant events was the musical performance “The City Has Fallen” (Hē Polis Ealō), held in 2018 in the courtyard of the Church of Saints Theodoroi in Anavyssos.

Originating as the dance group of the Municipality of Anavyssos in 1993, the ensemble was incorporated in June 2010 into the Anavyssos Folklore and Dance Association (H.L.O.A.).
Its mission is to highlight and teach the richness of Greece’s dance tradition through the instruction of traditional dances, musical instruments, and folk singing, as well as through the development of lectures and educational programs.
In 2014, the support of AIGEAS AMKE was expanded, fully funding the establishment of the Anavyssos Folklore Museum.
