The Goulandris Natural History Museum was founded in 1964. Its operation is dedicated to the study, conservation, and protection of the natural environment.
Over the course of its 60-year history, it has followed a pioneering path and developed significant scientific activity aimed at addressing and mitigating the environmental threats affecting the planet, as well as restoring natural resources.
The Museum’s new permanent exhibition, “Climate Change and Us,” installed at the GAIA Centre, is the first interactive exhibition on climate change in Greece. Its aim is to help visitors—especially the younger generation—understand the impact of climate change on our lives and on the wider natural and social environment, as well as how each individual can contribute in a timely and effective way to addressing this global challenge.
