Bust of Panousis Giokas

In August 2018, the Municipality of Erythres honoured the contribution of the community councillor Panousis Giokas (1848–1935), who, in the late 19th century, despite having no formal training, implemented the town plan of Erythres and gave the village its present form. The sculptor Nikos Georgiou captured the simplicity, determination, and modesty of the honoured figure.
