“At the Foothills of Mount Hymettus”: History and Monuments in the Municipality of Papagos–Cholargos

The Municipality of Papagos–Cholargos, in collaboration with the Ephorate of Antiquities of Eastern Attica, organized an exhibition at the Municipal Gallery titled “At the Foothills of Mount Hymettus: History and Monuments in the Municipality of Papagos–Cholargos.”
As part of the opening events, a scientific symposium was held at the Municipal Hall amphitheatre, featuring presentations by art historians and archaeologists on the antiquities of Mount Hymettus.
The aim of the initiative was to disseminate historical and archaeological knowledge about the Hymettus area and to raise public awareness of the continuity of cultural heritage in the region.
The exhibition was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and ran from 14 October to 1 November 2024.
