The 1st Primary School of Nea Makri is one of the most historic school units in the area, with roots dating back to 1924, when it first operated to serve the children of refugees from Asia Minor. Today, the school has 14 classrooms, an inclusion unit, a computer lab, a music room, a library, and a football field. The recent upgrade of the school’s outdoor areas has significantly improved the students’ daily school life, offering them a safe and welcoming space for activities.
