Nature-Loving Association"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Folklore and Nature-Loving Association \u201cSEMELE\u201d was founded in 2005 with the aim of preserving and promoting elements of Greek folk culture, while also raising awareness among local residents on issues of environmental protection and ecology.<br\/>The Association\u2019s activities include the teaching of traditional dances, songs, and musical instruments; theatrical education and expression; fostering awareness of cultural heritage; excursions with participation in local festivities; environmental initiatives; and dance events.<br\/>On 20 July 2012, SEMELE organized the 1st Traditional Dance Festival \u201cTa Oresteia\u201d in the courtyard of the Prophet Elias at Korbi, Vari. \u201cTa Oresteia\u201d is dedicated to the memory of the Association\u2019s dancer Orestis\u2013Konstantinos Mylonakis, who tragically lost his life on 20 July 2011.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Folklore and Nature-Loving Association \u201cSEMELE\u201d was founded in 2005 with the aim of preserving and promoting elements of Greek folk culture, while also raising awareness among local residents on issues of environmental protection and ecology.The Association\u2019s activities include the teaching of traditional dances, songs, and musical instruments;
