Papadimitriou).<\/p>\n\n<p> On this particular plot, part of the southern cemetery of the ancient city of Paros has been brought to light. To date, more than 100 burials have been identified, and over 200 vessels (skyphoi, aryballoid lekythoi, oinochoai, and others), pottery fragments, Charon\u2019s obol silver coins, metal objects (rings, mirrors, strigils, knives, and others), as well as marble objects\u2014mostly inscribed funerary stelai\u2014have been collected. In addition, human skeletal remains as well as animal bones have been recovered.<br\/>The burials date from the early 4th to the early 2nd century BC and constitute characteristic examples of ancient funerary practice. Conservation work on the excavated material (conservator: Chr.
