On Mount Athos, beyond its relics and its historical and religious significance, there exists another, unseen and more essential dimension: that of the \u201cangelic life of the monks\u2014the life of daily repentance, divine worship, contemplation, and the labor of their obediences,\u201d as Archimandrite Ephraim, Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, characteristically notes in the publication\u2019s foreword.Under the guidance of the Monastery, and through the lens of photographer Yannis Giannatos, an effort was made to capture this dimension without disturbing the monks\u2019 daily life. <\/p>\n\n
