Since 2014\u2014the year of the Association\u2019s founding\u2014Aegeas AMKE has supported the Ermoupolis Folklore and Dance Group \u201cThe Wisdom of Tradition.\u201d The Group\u2019s primary aim is the preservation of local tradition, as well as its transmission and connection to younger generations. <\/p>\n\n
One of its most important and beloved initiatives is the traditional dance festival \u201cSyrianopat\u00f3,\u201d which is co-organized every summer with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Syros\u2013Ermoupolis and the Cyclades Department of Culture of the Region of South Aegean.<\/p>\n\n
