The statue of the \u2018Glory of Psara\u2019 at the foot of Mavri Rachi! A dream of decades for all Psarians has become reality. An outstanding sculpture by Nikos Georgiou comes to complement the epic epigram of our national poet Dionysios Solomos and the exceptional painting by Nikolaos Gyzis. Poetry, painting, and sculpture meet, with the \u2018GLORY OF PSARA\u2019 at their centre.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>AEGEAS AMKE fully covered the cost of creating the statue in white Pentelic marble, its transportation to Psara, and the construction of its stone base.
