It was built in 1950, through the principal donation of General A. Kallinski and his wife, on a pine-covered site belonging to the Community of Vouliagmeni. The church\u2019s design, characterised by gentle curves, an integrated bell tower, and its white surfaces, reflects the architectural vocabulary of the Greek islands.<br\/>Initially, the church was intended to serve the liturgical needs of the Special Forces unit stationed in Kavouri at the time. However, the gradual permanent settlement of the area led to the establishment of the Parish of Saint George of Vouliagmeni in 1966. In 1974, the original chapel was extended based on a study by architect P.
