The Historical Archive “Archbishop Ieronymos II” was established in Oinofyta, Boeotia, with the aim of collecting, preserving, and showcasing documents and records that illuminate the life, ministry, and work of Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece.
The Archive houses valuable archival, photographic, and digital material, together with a substantial collection of documents relating to the Archbishop’s life and ministry, both during his long service as Metropolitan of Thebes and Livadeia and throughout his tenure as Archbishop of Athens and All Greece. It also preserves part of his personal library, contributing to the safeguarding and promotion of an important body of historical and ecclesiastical documentation.
The Historical Archive operates in close association with the Archbishop Ieronymos II Library and the Centre for Ecclesiastical Ministry, together forming an integrated centre for research, documentation, and educational activities. The collaboration of these three institutions has created a modern hub of knowledge and culture, open to researchers, students, and visitors alike.
