Held in an atmosphere of emotion, remembrance, and creative dialogue, the 10th International Student Literature Conference, “Dido Sotiriou: The Asia Minor Woman,” took place in Constantinople from 11 to 15 March 2026, once again demonstrating the power of literature to unite places, generations, and lived experiences.
The conference, organised by the Zographeion Lyceum of Constantinople and the E. Mandoulides Schools of the Dukes Education group, under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, brought together more than 400 students and educators from 34 schools across Greece, Cyprus, Constantinople, Imbros, Africa, and the United States. Participants had the opportunity to engage with distinguished figures from the fields of literature, journalism, and the arts, in a collective dialogue with the era and the profoundly human legacy of Dido Sotiriou.
The Conference offered students a valuable opportunity to express themselves, reflect critically, and approach literature as a living field of encounter with history, memory, and human experience. At the same time, they were given the chance to discover Constantinople, connect with its profound historical depth, and feel even closer to their roots and cultural heritage.
