This publication recounts the life of the celebrated brig Aris, which in April 1825 sailed out of the bay of Navarino, breaking through the blockade of the Egyptian fleet. The study traces the course of the legendary vessel from its construction to its sinking in 1921.
The Aris holds an important place in the history of the Hellenic Navy, as for many years it housed naval training schools for the education of officers and non-commissioned officers.
