The Society for Peloponnesian Studies was founded in 1955 with the aim of studying, researching, and documenting issues concerning the Peloponnese, particularly in the fields of archaeology, literature, language, traditional art, education, history, architecture, Byzantine history, ethnography, natural resources, and the environment.
