Since its founding in 1991, the Athens Concert Hall has served as a major cultural hub, bringing together the Greek and international forces of art and intellectual life. AIGEA AMKE actively supports the Hall’s programmes and performances. In this context, it has contributed to or fully covered the costs of organising concerts and performances, and has also funded tickets for students of Music Schools.
Among its most significant donations were the concert by the Staatskapelle Berlin conducted by its Music Director Daniel Barenboim, the concert at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus with the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Myung Whun Chung, and the recital by soloists Leonidas Kavakos and Yuja Wang featuring three sonatas for violin and piano.
