The Municipality of Aristotle, in the eastern part of the Halkidiki Prefecture, was established under the “Kallikratis” administrative reform through the merger of the municipalities of Arnaia, Panagia, and Stageira-Akanthos. Its administrative seat is Ierissos, and its population is estimated at approximately 17,000 inhabitants.
The area boasts a rich history and cultural heritage, as the philosopher Aristotle was born in ancient Stageira. The Municipality’s natural beauty, with its stunning beaches, mountainous settlements of distinctive architecture—such as Arnaia—and its proximity to the monastic state of Mount Athos, make it a popular tourist destination.
AIGEA AMKE proceeded with a significant donation to the Municipality for the creation of two modern and safe spaces for recreation, play, and sports for children, in Ierissos and Panagia.
