In September 2024, the Imvrian Association, in collaboration with Tenedian organizations, organized the Pan-Imvrian Conference and the Concert for Imbros, marking the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne.
The conference, titled “Imbros and Tenedos: Nostalgia and Perspective,” was held at the Foundation of the Hellenic World, while the concert, under the theme “For Imbros: For Our Children and Our Schools,” took place at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
Both events were held under the auspices of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who proclaimed the opening of the conference. Their aim was the revitalization of the Greek communities of Imbros and Tenedos, the increase of the Greek population, and the strengthening of minority schools. At the same time, the sustainable economic development of the island was promoted, through the utilization of its local resources and cultural heritage.
The concert at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus attracted a large audience and renowned artists, securing significant proceeds for the Greek schools of Imbros.
