“Syrianopató,” Folklore and Dance Group “The Wisdom of Tradition”

Since 2014—the year of the Association’s founding—Aegeas AMKE has supported the Ermoupolis Folklore and Dance Group “The Wisdom of Tradition.” The Group’s primary aim is the preservation of local tradition, as well as its transmission and connection to younger generations.

One of its most important and beloved initiatives is the traditional dance festival “Syrianopató,” which is co-organized every summer with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Syros–Ermoupolis and the Cyclades Department of Culture of the Region of South Aegean.
