Bust of Papagiorgis

In September 2020, the bust of the 1821 fighter Papagiorgis was erected in Aetorrachi, Gortynia (formerly Zoulátika). The orientation of the bust toward Tripolitsa serves as a reminder to younger generations of the fighter’s legendary deeds during its siege. In this way, local history becomes known beyond the narrow boundaries of the region. AEGEAS AMKE covered part of the cost of the bust’s construction.
