Holy Church of Saint Irene

The Church of Saint Irene is located in the Sinterina area of Lavreotiki. The area derives its name, Sinterina, from the ruins of an early Christian church dedicated to Saint Irene (Santa Eirini).
The new bell tower, square in plan and standing 7.50 m high, was erected on the south-eastern side of the present church. Its inauguration took place on 4 May 2015, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaos of Mesogeia and Lavreotiki.
