The Church of Saint George began to be constructed in the 1990s, on the western edge of the settlement of Keratea, in an area where no parish church had previously existed. It is a cross-in-square church with a dome and two bell towers.
The exterior façades feature coloured plaster, white cornices, and marble elements, while in the interior, the flooring and fixed furnishings follow a unified compositional approach, employing white and grey marble.
Overall, the architectural style of the church reflects the Neo-Hellenic ecclesiastical tradition that developed in the wider region of Mesogeia. The ceremonial opening of the church took place on 4 July 2020, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaos of Mesogeia and Lavreotiki.
